Know what's overhead — and what's next
HTCommander keeps a live list of amateur radio satellites, sorted by what's in view right now and what's coming up. Satellites currently above the horizon show their real-time elevation, while upcoming passes list the time until acquisition of signal (AOS) and the maximum elevation the pass will reach — so you can tell at a glance whether it's worth setting up for.
Live tracking and antenna aiming
Select a satellite to see its live position: azimuth, elevation, range, ground sub-point and altitude, with compass and elevation dials that make it easy to point a handheld or directional antenna. As the satellite moves across the sky, the readouts update continuously so you can keep it centered in your beam.
Doppler-corrected frequencies
Fast-moving satellites shift their apparent frequency as they approach and recede. HTCommander shows each satellite's uplink (TX) and downlink (RX) frequencies, along with the operating mode and CTCSS tone, and corrects them for Doppler in real time — so you stay tuned to the bird without constantly chasing the signal.
Upcoming passes at a glance
A pass schedule lists the next opportunities with start and end times, maximum elevation, the azimuth range the satellite will travel through, and how long until it appears. Plan your operating around the best passes instead of guessing.
